The text accompanying the latest promotional pictures for this episode indicate that in 1941 John Amsterdam and Lily Mae Brown (played by Yolonda Ross) have a child together - named Omar.
Yolonda Ross, actress and singer stopped by our forum to let us know she plays the female love interest in this episode. She has posted pics from the production at her MySpace page.
Episode 1.02 will feature various flashbacks with Lily Rae Brown, an African-American woman in her 40s who is said to be beautiful. We also meet Hannah Clearly, a British 30-year-old who works at Drew Academy as faculty advisor; Jack Shaw, a working class doorman; and Corey, a smart 5-year-old African-American boy. her work and focus on her fashion designer boyfriend’s runway show. She relents and helps police as long as her name is kept out of it. They capture the rapist, but when he gets released on a technicality, his lawyer releases her name to the press and she is furious. Her conservative family already disapproves her way of life, now their name is being dragged into it too. Afraid for her life, she goes to Amsterdam for

Charvi Vikram
Late 20s-Early 30s, Female, Indian. She is Amartya’s sister. She is more plain and not as attractive as her supermodel sister. When the news gets out about her sister’s rape, she is furious with Amsterdam. He had promised her that her sister’s name would be left out of the headlines. Amsterdam discovers later that it was Charvi that lured Amartya out of hiding so that their father could kill her. She is guilt-ridden when he confronts her;
Andrew Durst
Early-Late 30s., Male, Caucasian. He is the wealthy landowner and Amsterdam’s boss. He is a mean dissolute man who deflowers young girls. Fanny
Early-Mid 20s, Female, Caucasian. Scullery maid and Amsterdam’s girlfriend at the time. She is a vivacious girl who is full of life. When Durst rapes her, she is devastated and thinks no one will want her anymore. Amsterdam kills Durst to avenge her rape, but then Amsterdam has to leave her to go on the run. Catherine
Early-Mid 40s, Female, Caucasian. She is attractive but worn. She is the kitchen maid at the Durst Manor. She reluctantly tells Amsterdam that Durst had raped her too years ago. She now fears for the safety of her 13 year old daughter. CHARACTER APPEARS IN A FLASHBACK FROM 1813;
Johanna
13, Female, Caucasian. She is Catherine’s shy daughter who works with her mother in
the kitchen. Durst leers at her inappropriately on nights when he’s drunk. CHARACTER APPEARS IN A FLASHBACK FROM 1813;

Samar Vikram
Early 50s-Mid 60s, Male, Indian. He is Amartya’s conservative Indian immigrant father. He killed his daughter to save the family honor. In his interrogation, Amsterdam tricks him into confessing;

Mid 20s-Mid 30s, Male, any ethnicity. He is Amartya’s stalker. He is a
suspect because she has a restraining order again him, but he is innocent. Amsterdam uses video footage Shanker shot to apprehend the killer. A character;
Ben Robbins
Early-Late 30s, Male, Caucasian. He is a hipster designer and Amartya’s boyfriend. They were engaged, but kept it a secret because her family didn’t approve of their relationship because he’s American and Jewish;
Phillip Long
30-45, Male, Caucasian. Physically menacing, he is the serial rapist and killer who rapes both Mary Worth and Amartya. He is apprehended and then released on a technicality. Later he confesses;
Costello
30s-40s, Male, African-American. He is an ER doctor who tries to save Mary Worth’s life. He is ticked off that Amsterdam is trying to get into the ER room to question his patient;
Anne
Early 40s, Female, any ethnicity. Plain, but emotionally powerful. She is a nun in Mary’s order, but is very modern and hip. Amsterdam and Eva go to her for information about Mary. She is enraged and upset over her friend’s death;
