It's been 8 months since New Amsterdam graced our TV screens and still we have no word on a potential DVD release.
The small number of episodes may be working against us, however recent series with a similar number (such as Bionic Woman) have received a proper retail release.

The website "TV Shows On DVD" has, in the past, had some success in helping to inspire the release of sought after TV shows.

They have a page for New Amsterdam where you can let them know that you would buy the series if it were available as:
a) Season Set
b) Best Of
c) Individual Episodes
d) All of the above

"Still recovering from his recent gunshot wound, John and Eva investigate what looks to be the drowning death of a young woman. The victim’s death may be related to a string of robberies of wealthy men linked to a dating service. While on the case, John has flashbacks of his life in the 1920s, when he was a grifter and stole a precious diamond pendant from his lover. John also questions if Sara is “the one” who will make him mortal, and as a result, begins to pull away from her. "John becomes fixated on granting the dying wish of his first partner, Andy (Chris Bauer), who is slowly wasting away from leukemia caused by a bullet lodged in his heart. The beautifully voiced singer and actress Yolonda Ross has stopped by our forum to let us know she will be appearing as the love interest in episode 2 of New Amsterdam, currently titled "Golden Boy" and airing on March 6th, 2008. Ross says "Nikolaj and the director were great".
